Top-10's in World 100 prelims at Eldora Speedway
Gregg Satterlee made the trip to Eldora Speedway this past weekend as 101 entries embarked on the famed half-mile for the 55th annual World 100.
With twin preliminary features slated for Thursday and Friday, Satterlee kicked off the three-day showcase in strong fashion—outdueling Garrett Alberson to win his heat race. He went on to notch a seventh-place finish in Thursday’s $12,000-to-win A-Main.
Returning on Friday, Satterlee backed up a third-place heat effort with a solid eighth-place finish in the second 25-lap preliminary feature.
Hoping to lock into Saturday’s $72,000-to-win World 100 finale, Satterlee’s charge came up just short. After slipping to sixth in his heat, he was unable to recover in the B-Main, finishing sixth—two spots shy of a transfer position.
