Gregg Satterlee triumphs in Butch Renninger Memorial at Port Royal
For the sixth time in his career, Gregg Satterlee captured the Butch Renninger Memorial at Port Royal Speedway, a tribute race honoring the late three-time track champion at the Pennsylvania oval.
The $7,333 victory pushed Satterlee’s win total for the 2025 season into double digits, marking his 10th triumph of the year.
“First off, thanks to Port Royal and the Renninger family for having this race every year, it’s always a fun race to come and support,” Satterlee said. “I think the first time we ever came to Port Royal was for this race and won it, so it’s always been a fun event to come back to and support.”
Satterlee began his Labor Day weekend on Friday night at Bedford Speedway for the inaugural Bernheisel Race Components Fall Clash, where he advanced one spot in the $12,055-to-win feature to register a seventh-place finish.
On Saturday at Port Royal, Satterlee moved from fourth to second in his heat race, then charged from the eighth-starting spot in the feature to the lead, pacing the final 10 laps to secure his fourth win of the year at the historic half-mile.
A stop at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday resulted in another strong run for Satterlee as he crossed the finish line in fifth in the Paul Long Memorial feature.
