Gregg Satterlee Adds Port Royal Speedway Victory

INDIANA, Pa. (08/18/25) – Gregg Satterlee found himself in the right place at the right time on Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway, leading the final eight laps after the race leader retired with mechanical issues. The Indiana, Pennsylvania, native pocketed a $4,000 payday for his ninth overall victory of the season and second in as many weeks.

“Yeah, we got a really good start,” Satterlee said in victory lane. “Definitely bad luck for Max tonight – he had the car to beat – but we were able to keep up with him really well in lapped traffic. We had a really good car, Max had a bad break, and we were able to capitalize on it. Looking forward to coming back next weekend.”

Satterlee’s lone start of the weekend brought him to The Speed Palace for the 25-lap feature, serving as a tune-up for the upcoming Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series doubleheader. After winning his heat race, he settled into second in the main event before inheriting the top spot when the leader slowed with mechanical issues. From there, Satterlee drove away to secure his 23rd career victory at the Pennsylvania oval.

Satterlee will return to The Speed Palace this weekend as the stars of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series invaded for the two-day The Rumble by the River. A preliminary paying $10,000 to the winner is followed by Saturday's $50,000-to-win finale.
