His latest triumph at the ½-mile came on Saturday evening in the Butch Renninger Memorial and was worth $6,333. The victory also marked his ninth of the year.

“It was a good weekend for our team. We were slow out of the gate at Bedford (Speedway) on Friday night, but we passed like 20 cars in the feature to finish second, so that was a good way to end that night. Then, on Saturday night we were back at Port Royal, and we got another win there. That place has been good to us this year,” Satterlee commented. “We’re headed into Eldora (Speedway) with some confidence. Hopefully, we can hit the ground running there and make some noise before the weekend is over.”

Friday night found Gregg Satterlee in action at Bedford Speedway (Bedford, Pa.) to kick off his Labor Day weekend with the Labor Day 55. In a field of 32 Zimmer’s United Late Model Southern Series (ULMS) entries, Gregg’s sixth-place finish in his heat race relegated him to a B-Main.

Finishing third in the consolation event, Satterlee locked into the 22nd-starting position for the $12,000-to-win A-Main. Wheeling his way into the Top-5, Gregg passed 20 cars in the 55-lap affair to register an impressive second-place finish. He trailed Michael Norris across the line with Max Blair, Dan Stone, and Jeff Rine rounding out the Top-5.

For the Butch Renninger Memorial on Saturday at Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.), Satterlee secured his spot into the ULMS-sanctioned main event with an eight-lap heat race victory. Starting the feature in fifth, Gregg wrestled away the top spot on the ninth circuit but handed it back to Michael Norris on lap 21. Stealing back the lead a circuit later, Satterlee raced to his ninth win of the season and 10th career ULMS triumph. He took the checkers ahead of Rick Eckert, Max Blair, Jason Covert, and Gary Stuhler to claim $6,333.

Gregg is currently third in the ULMS Southern point standings.
